We recently sent out a survey to evaluate the impact from our N management projects, conducted from 2012-2017.

This survey is important in identifying the impact this research has had on knowledge levels, industry adoption and uptake.  It also provides an opportunity for your input on other areas of N research that still need to be resolved.

Fleabane Management Reminder

Although summer is often when we experience our biggest management issues with fleabane, a focus on management during the winter crop or fallow often provides the best control.  Read more for a recap of fleabane management practices recently sent out as a GRDC Paddock Practices article.

New Trials Agronomist

NGA welcomes new team member Richard Black who will manage NGA trials in the Goondiwindi, Moree, and Mungindi/Balonne areas. Richard is based at Goondiwindi.
Hailing from a farming background near Condobolin he has held positions involving both broadacre and irrigated farming, spending several years as a farm operations manager for a broadacre farming enterprise near Tulloona.
Richard brings with him a solid practical farming experience and firsthand exposure to the issues facing growers and agronomists in the area.

Chickpeas can Compete

There are few herbicide options for sowthistle control in chickpea, yet the latest research is finding that chickpeas can win the competition against sowthistle.

NGA's Latest Additions

April and May were exciting months with two new additions welcomed to the NGA family. 

Congratulations to Denielle Kilby and her partner Ben, who were blessed with the safe arrival of their beautiful daughter Cecilia.?
Followed shortly by Rachel Norton and her husband Leigh, welcoming their precious son Archie, into the world.
?We look forward to both of them taking up roles in agronomy in 2040 !
